Decree on establishing social businesses issued
VGP – The Government encourages and facilitates organizations and individuals' establishment of social businesses to address social and environmental issues for the sake of the community, according to a Decree defining some articles of the Law on Enterprises.
More budget for forest fire prevention
VGP – The PM has decided to put aside VND 185 billion for 15 localities and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to aid their forest fire prevention in 2015.
OFID-sponsored project portfolio ratified
VGP – The PM has approved the Dam Vac bridge project portfolio which is financed by the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID).
SOEs prohibited from non-core investments in real estate and banks
VGP – State-owned enterprises (SOEs) are not allowed to invest in real estate and buy stocks in banks, insurance companies, securities companies, and venture capital funds excluding special cases which are decided by the PM.
Italian-financed project to upgrade cultural heritages in Quang Nam approved
VGP – The PM has approved an Italian-sponsored project, which aims to establish a vocational training center for conservation and restoration of monument in the central province of Quang Nam.
Resolution on e-Government issued
VGP – The Government has issued a Resolution on e-Government with the aim of accelerating the e-Government development, improving the quality and effectiveness of State agencies and providing better services for people and businesses as well as increasing the status of Viet Nam’s e-Government on the United Nations’ rankings.
VN- Laos border trade Agreement ratified
VGP – The Government has approved the border trade Agreement between the Governments of Viet Nam and Laos, which was inked on June 27, 2015.
Program on technological support to disadvantaged regions approved
VGP - The PM has approved a program on supporting scientific and technological transfer and application to boost socio-economic development in rural, mountainous and ethnic minority areas in the 2016-2025 period.
Gov’t accelerates enforcement of key laws
VGP – The PM has required ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies and Chairmen of provincial People’s Committees to strictly and timely implement tasks to beef up the implementation of the Law on Enterprises and the Law on Investment.
Vinh Phuc has new Chairman
VGP - The PM has approved the election of Mr. Nguyen Van Tri as Chairman of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People’s Committee in the 2011-2016 phase.
