A boost for Vietnamese exports

VGP – The PM has approved a project to promote Vietnamese enterprises to join international distribution channels by 2020 as part of efforts to boost Vietnamese exports.

Under the newly-approved project, by 2020, Vietnamese exports would be shipped directly to large-scale distribution channels inEurope, North America, Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia andcountries which signed FTAs with Viet Nam.  

Building enterprise database

The project aims to build an information system and database on international distribution chains in key markets like Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, and Northeast Asia.

Accordingly, information system and enterprise database, key exports would be built.

The new project set to work with foreign distribution groups to guide Vietnamese exporters and importers to apply and meet state-of-art standards on techniques and quality.

In the short term, it will give a priority to exports of potential and strong lines to big and key markets.

Promoting trade promotion

Trade promotion activities would be boosted to connect withinternational distribution channels. Enterprises would be assisted in export activities, model development, and brand name building in accordance with requirements of international distribution chains.

In addition, programs on weeks of Vietnamese goods would be held in foreign big markets.

The fresh project also targets to support FDI enterprises to boost production to penetrate into foreign distribution channels; encourage the establishment of bonded warehouses; and raise performance of exporters and export-oriented producers./.
