The park will cover a total area of 860 hectares in the communes of Co Loa, Duc Tu, Uy No and Viet Hung in Dong Anh District.
The master plan is asked to comprise solutions for preserving and restoring physical heritage structure of the relic; building natural ecological spaces of agriculture, green parks and gardens and upgrading the water system.
The master plan would be put into implementation in one year.
Co Loa Citade is located near Phong Khe, about 20km to the North of today’s Hanoi. According to folklore, Thục Phán (An Dương Vương) defeated the last of the Hung kings in 257 BCE and founded the kingdom of Âu Lạc, choosing the site of Co Loa as his capital. The site consists of two outer sets of ramparts and a citadel on the inside, of rectangular shape./.
