PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng suggested that, to celebrate the 35 th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Việt Nam and Japan, the two countries should promote practical and effective activities; closely work together in realizing major projects, such as the North-South Highway, the trans-Việt Nam express railway, Hòa Lạc hi-tech park, and the subway routes in Hà Nội and Hồ Chí Minh City. He also urged the two sides to speed up negotiations for the signing of an economic cooperation agreement.

Minister Fukushirou Nukaga affirmed that Japan is seriously implementing the projects in Việt Nam. The guest stated that his ministry is proactively collaborating with other Japanese and Vietnamese competent agencies to sign the economic cooperation agreement soon.
