Each investment project forms a link of VN-China friendship

VNGOP – That was the statement made by PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng at the meeting and talks to 450 Vietnamese and Chinese businesses attending the China-Việt Nam Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum held in Nanning City on October 28.

The Vietnamese PM revealed that Việt Nam has attracted over 8,800 direct investment projects from 79 countries and territories, worth of US $80 billion, and most of these projects have been successfully realized.

Việt Nam is an economic space endowed with potentialities and opportunities for safe and fruitful investment and business activities for foreign investors, said PM Dũng.

He went on to brief Việt Nam’s advantages: the second biggest market in Southeast Asia; an abundance of young human resource (70 percent of the population is below 40); industrious, dynamic, and well-educated people; sustainable political security and social safety.

PM Dũng concluded his speech by confirming that the Vietnamese Government will do its best to boost the Việt Nam–China relations as well as continue to provide more favorable conditions for Chinese enterprises and foreign investors.

He stressed that “Each cooperative project will bring about great benefits for the business circle and be a link of the Việt Nam–China friendship”.

Right after the opening ceremony of the China-Việt Nam Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and his entourage witnessed the signing of many cooperative agreements and projects between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises in consulting transport designs, building urban quarters and commercial centers, health, and mechanics.

In the afternoon of the day, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng separately received Secretary of the Regional Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Liu Qibao and Chairman Lu Ping, leaders of Guangdong Province and some big enterprises such as Nanfang Electricity, MASEP, Jiangong, and Hua Wei.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and Secretary Li Qibao and Chairman Lu Ping agreed to promote the realization of “two corridors, one economic belt”, focusing on upgrading and building highways, railways, seaports as well as founding border economic zones in order to form economic connections between Việt Nam’s northern border provinces and China’s Guangxi. The two sides welcomes the establishment of the Joint Working Committee between Lạng Sơn, Cao Bằng, Quảng Ninh and Guangxi which is expected to come into operation soon to boost the comprehensive cooperation.

Secretary Liu Qibao affirmed that Guangxi always attaches importance to the cooperation for mutual benefits with Vietnamese localities and expressed his willingness to cooperate with the Vietnamese side to develop the bilateral relationship to a new high.
