Gov’t chief hails foreign guests
VGP - PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng today separately received Mr. Ivano Barberini, President of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), and Professor Michael E. Porter, a leading authority on competitive strategy from the Havard Business School.

The PM said that the Vietnamese Government will do its best to facilitate these activities, benefiting the member economies in the Alliance, including Việt Nam. Porter on the same day, PM Dũng lauded the Professor and his colleagues for their studies on Việt Nam’s competitiveness as well as the guest’s presentations in Hà Nội and Hồ Chí Minh City. Prof. Michael Porter placed high value on the Vietnamese Government’s frank outlook to the current economic downturn, suggesting that Việt Nam should invest in education in order to ensure long-term economic development. The guest expressed his desire to establish an Academy of Competitiveness in Việt Nam, saying his trip will kick-start his long-term projects here. By Ngọc Vân |
