Gov’t chief receives new Slovak ambassador

VGP – Welcoming the newly appointed ambassador of the Republic of Slovakia, Mr. Peter Svitek. on Thursday, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng highly spoke of the opening of the Slovak Embassy in Việt Nam, adding that the move will facilitate the bilateral ties.

The host leader showed his pleasure at the flourishing friendship between Việt Nam and Slovakia, as evidenced by the increasing trade turnover over recent years.
PM Dũng also expressed his hope that Ambassador Peter Svitek will spare no effort to promote the cooperation among ministries, industries and localities of the two countries, especially in such fields as energy, industry, healthcare, environment protection, high technology, and education.
Mr. Peter Svitek asserted that the relationship between the two countries has entered a new stage after the visit to Việt Nam made by Slovak PM Robert Fico in late October 2008.
He vowed to do his utmost to nurture the bilateral ties.
The diplomat revealed that Slovakia will send some famous performers to Việt Nam on the occasion of the millennium of Thăng Long-Hà Nội.
