VN, Hong Kong consolidate cooperation

VGP – In their friendly and frank talks this afternoon, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and Hong Kong Chief Executive Sir Donald Tsang Yum-Kuen shared opinions on the global financial crisis and ways to deepen the bilateral cooperation.

Both the guest and the host stated their desire to expand the Việt Nam-Hong Kong relationship, agreeing that the two sides should enhance closer cooperation to manage beyond the global crisis for further development.

The two leaders also vowed to speed up the signing of more documents as a necessary legal framework for the bilateral cooperation in the future.

In their witness, the Việt Nam Ministry of Education and Training and the Hong Kong Education Bureau inked a cooperation pact. On the occasion, Credit Suisse Bank granted a loan agreement to lend Vinaline and Vinacomin with US $1.1 billion.

PM Dũng also received leaders of some big corporations located in Hong Kong and met representatives of the Vietnamese community here.
