Welcoming PM Dũng’s arrival for the Boao Forum as well as his visits to Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau, Premier Wen consider the tour an important event in the relationship between China and Việt Nam.

The host leader emphasized that Chinese Party, Government and people attach importance to promoting ties with Việt Nam.

Highly speaking of China’s and Hainan’s efforts in organizing the Boao Forum, PM Dũng stated that, in the context of the global economic crisis, the Forum will be a good chance for all countries in the region to share opinion and solutions to cope with impacts of the crisis.

The leaders expressed their pleasure at new developments in various fields of the bilateral cooperation over the past time.

They also agreed upon some measures to guarantee the blooming relationship between the two countries, including maintaining regular visits of senior leaders, realizing the target two-way trade turnover of US $25 billion next year, and enhancing cooperation among the two countries’ localities.

They pledged to take into account their respective benefits through friendly negotiations and proper answers for unsolved border issues.

The leaders asserted that, by sharing experience, the two countries will easily manage beyond the current crisis for further development.

The two PMs agreed to select the year 2010 as the Year of Việt Nam-China Friendship on the occasion of the 60 th anniversary of diplomatic establishment, considering it an important event which will help strengthen trust, solidarity, friendship and the strategic partnership for comprehensive cooperation between the two nations.

On the same day, PM Dũng had separately receptions with Mr. Wei Liucheng, Party chief of Hainan Province, Mr. Luo Baoming, Hainan Governor, Mr. Guo Shengkun, Party Secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and some Chinese CEOs.

Chinese local leaders all were convinced that the visit made by PM Dũng will surely help cement and deepen the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between their localities and Việt Nam.

The Vietnamese PM and Hainan’s leaders discussed ways to boost up relations between the province and Việt Nan, especially in economics, trade, tourism, transport, cooperation within the Gulf of Tonkin for the successful realization of the “Two corridors, one economic belt” project, and rescue work.

PM Dũng praised Guangxi’s contributions to the completion of border demarcation and landmark planting for a common borderline of peace, stability and development. He also lauded Guangxi enterprises who are fruitfully doing business in Việt Nam.

He witnessed the signing of some cooperation agreements between Vietnamese and Hainan businesses on tourism, services and automobile industry.

Receiving Iran’s Vice President Parviz Dawoodi on Friday, PM Dũng reiterated that the friendly and cooperative relationship between Việt Nam and Iran is developing well, hoping that the two sides will enhance economic, trade and investment cooperation in the time to come.

The Iranian Vice President suggested the two countries build a specific roadmap for bilateral cooperation, especially in petrochemistry, railway, steel production. The two sides should also quicken the negotiation for investment and trade agreements, he said.
