Minister Mentor Lee Kwan Yew highly praised Việt Nam’s socio-economic achievements, confidently saying that Việt Nam will manage beyond the gloabl financial and economic crisis.
He also briefed some experience and solutions taken by the Singaporean Government to COPE with the crisis and prepare for the post-crisis development stage.
Both the hosts and the guest were satisfied at rapid and positive development of the friendly and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
The leaders showed their pleasure at the realization of the Việt Nam–Singapore Frame Agreement on Economic Connection.
Highly speaking of the efficiency of the Việt Nam–Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP 1 và VSIP 2) in Bình Dương, they agreed to introduce the model to Bắc Ninh and Hải Phòng, considering these IPs as vivid symbols of the bilateral friendship and cooperation.
PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng asked the Singaporean Government to further encourage its investors to do business in Việt Nam as well as create more favorable conditions for Vietnamese exports to Singapore.

The same day, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng received an Australian business delegation.
Mr. Richard Woolcoot, the founding director of the Asia Society’s Australasia Center, stated that his delegation include many leading enterprises operating in finance, banking, real estate, education and steel production.
He was strongly convinced that, with proper policies adopted by the Vietnamese Government, Việt Nam will overcome all negative impacts of the global crisis soon and advance to a bright future.
