Gov’t chief welcomes int’l guests to FMM 9

VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng this afternoon received the Foreign Ministers of Troika-EU and Polish FM Radoslaw Sikorski who are in Hà Nội to attend the 9th ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (FMM 9).

PM Dũng assumed that FMM 9 is one of important events in international relations and the Asia-Europe cooperation.
He asserted that, Việt Nam is much interested in such issues as climate changes, sea level rising, and environmental protection and the country is willing to closely work with the international community to seek for solutions for these challenges.
Talking about cooperation between Việt Nam and European countries, PM Dũng emphasized that Việt Nam attaches importance to and wants to deepen its cooperation with Europe. The Vietnamese Government pledges to offer favorable conditions for European investors to do fruitful business here, said the PM.
The host and the EU guests also exchanged views on measures to promote relations between Việt Nam and the European Union.

Receiving Poland’s FM Radoslaw Sikorski, PM Dũng reaffirmed Việt Nam’s policy of enhancing the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
He hailed Poland for granting Việt Nam with a preferential credit loan of over US $200 million to develop shipbuilding industry. Besides, the leader suggested the two countries promote the realization of bilateral agreements and programs on economic and trade cooperation.
The Polish diplomat asked Việt Nam to facilitate Polish investors’ involvement in such fields as mining, metallurgy and food processing.
