The fact that Hainan is the only province where Vietnamese PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng dropped in during his China tour vividly shows the Vietnamese leader’s special attention to push up the relations between Việt Nam and Hainan, emphasized Mr. Wei. The host affirmed that his province would make practical contributions to the strategic partnership between the two parties and two nations.

PM Dũng showed his pleasures at vigorous development of the comprehensive relationship between Việt Nam and China as well as between Hainan and many localities of Việt Nam, such as Hà Nội, Hồ Chí Minh City, Hải Phòng, Quảng Ninh, Nghệ An. He hailed Hainan’s support and assistance in rescuing Vietnamese fishermen over the last time.

The Vietnamese PM also applauded the signing of a memorandum on economic and trade cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and Hainan’s local government.

He suggested Hainan further exchange delegations with Vietnamese localities, expressing his agreement to the establishment of a provincial-level cooperation mechanism between the two sides in order to expand cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, aviation, sea transportation, seaport, and aquaculture.
