More funds for poor communes’ development
VGP – Under Decision 101/2009/QĐ-TTg issued on August 5 by the PM stipulating quotas of investment for some projects carried out in poor communes in 2010, each of these communes will be funded with VND 300 million to realize production development projects, VND 1 billion for infrastructure projects, and VND 60 million for human resource training projects.
|  | | Poor students will receive VND 140,000 per month | In 2010, each disadvantaged hamlet in poor communes will receive VND 50 million, VND 200 million and VND 15 million to finance production development, infrastructure and HR nurturing respectively. The new Decision also extends the term of assistance for children from poor households to May 2011, one year more compared to the former regulation (May 2010). Some new beneficiaries are also named. Accordingly, a poor pupil studying at secondary schools will receive VND 140,000 per month to afford their accommodation and studying utensils during their 9-month school-year. By Phương Uyên |
