The Vietnamese PM amazed the top CEOs by revealing them impressive figures of the Vietnamese economy in the global economic crisis year of 2009, notably US $21.48 billion in FDI, US $8 billion in ODA (for 2010) and the GDP growth rate of 5.32%.

He attributed Việt Nam ’s achievements to flexible, consistent and drastic packages which have been implemented fruitfully over the past time.

Việt Nam sees the global financial crisis a good chance to create strong economic breakthroughs, stated PM Dũng.

He added that a new growth wave is coming near and Việt Nam is ready to welcome it through (i) consolidating macro-economic stability; (ii) promoting public investment in infrastructure, healthcare, education, science and technology, pushing up economic restructuring, and expanding business, production and export; and (iii) paying due attention to social issues, particularly poverty reduction, social welfare and security.

PM Dũng also pointed out other priorities which Việt Nam will pursue, including renewing the sustainable consumption of energies and natural resources; developing a fair and healthy competitive environment for all economic players; combating corruption; simplifying administrative procedures; fulfilling international commitments; and maintaining regular dialogues with domestic and international business communities.

Entering Việt Nam, all foreign enterprises will have chances to conquer not only its 86 consumers but also penetrate in the 600-million ASEAN market and such free trade areas between ASEAN and China, Japan, Republic of Korea and other regional countries, stated the Vietnamese leader.

He concluded his dialogue by emphasizing the Government of Việt Nam ’s consistent policy of offering best conditions for the international business community to succeed in Việt Nam .
