President V. Putin stressed to the Vietnamese PM that Russia places great importance on cementing and deepening the strategic partnership with Việt Nam. The Federation also pays attention to consolidate the comprehensive cooperation with Việt Nam in the fields that the two countries have experience and potentialities, so that the economic and trade ties will be lifted to a new height commensurate with their good bilateral political relations.
The President pledged that the Russian Government will accelerate the implementation of the List of Priority Tasks agreed by the two sides to boost the strategic partnership in 2007.
PM Dũng and President Putin also discussed some specific measures to strengthen and expanse the multifaceted cooperation between Việt Nam and Russia in all fields.

Earlier, the PM had held separate meetings with Mr. V.A. Kupsov, First Vice Speaker of the State Duma; Mr. V. Mezensev, Vice President of the Federation Council; and leaders of the Russian–Việt Nam Friendship Association.
PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng lauded the cooperation of the Vietnamese and Russian legislative bodies. He expressed his hope that leaders of the Russian Parliament and the Russia-Việt Nam Friendship Association will make an active contribution to the bilateral ties between the two countries, for the two peoples’ interests as well as for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the regions and the world.
On September 12, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng visited some Russian economic groups and attend a business forum in Moscow./.
