PM: VN, Australia should cement trade ties
VGP – At his reception greeting Australian Minister for Trade Simon Crean on Friday, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng addressed that Việt Nam and Australia should cement and deepen the bilateral economic ties in line with their respective potentials and strengths.

The PM was pleased with positive progresses that both countries had done to strengthen the bilateral relations in such fields as economics, investment, trade, education and training, science and technology. The PM also hoped to speed up the ties for mutual benefits. | | | Leaders of Việt Nam and Australia discuss measures to promote bilateral cooperation – Photo: VGP | The Australian Ministry for Trade is working with the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment as well as the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade to accelerate the economic and commercial ties between the two countries, Minister Simon Crean said at the meeting. He continued to brief PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on Australia"s economic achievements in 2009 after the country has applied structural reform, opened cooperation and welcomed bigger investments. The Minister also affirmed that Australia will continue to donate AU $12 million for Việt Nam to carry out the Second Phase of the Technical Assistance Program in the Post-WTO Period which will last in the next five years. In addition, Australia will give full support and sponsorship to Việt Nam to build Cao Lãnh Bridge, the guest stated./. By Kim Anh |
