PM congratulates journalist contingent
VGP – On the 84th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism Day (June 21, 1925), PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng conveyed his warm greetings to journalist throughout the country, hoping that the press will be a driving force for social progress and national development.
 | | Photo: VGP | In a letter sent to press organizations today, the Government chief expressed his pleasure at significant and important contributions of the revolutionary journalism to the people’s revolutionary cause. “In the struggle for national independence and reunification as well as in the cause of national development and protection, our journalist contingent… has played an important role in rallying and encouraging all walks of life to overcome various difficulties and fulfill all revolutionary assignments,” PM Dũng wrote. He also hailed efforts made by press organizations and journalists to promote the country’s comprehensive development, secure socio-political stability, enhance friendship and cooperation with other countries, and raise Việt Nam’s status on the international arena. The PM noted that information published on mass media must be for the sake of national interest and legitimate rights of the people, bringing about a high social consensus and consolidating the whole-people solidarity. The Party and State will continue to facilitate journalist activities in the context of international integration, stressed the Government chief. He concluded his letter of congratulations by asking all Vietnamese journalists to join efforts in building a socialist country of prosperity, democracy and civilization. By Xuân Hồng |
