PM encourages emulation campaigns for better achievements
VGP – At the 29th meeting of the Central Council for Emulation and Commendation (CCEC) this morning, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng, Chairman of the Council, asked ministries, sectors, localities and all walks of life to join efforts in fulfilling socio-economic plans in 2009.

Presiding over the meeting, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stressed that exemplary individuals and programs should be popularized and emulative campaigns further broadened in the society, especially among workers and farmers. He reiterated that, in the rest of 2009 and the following years, all ministries, sectors, localities and people must spare no effort and proactively take part in emulation campaigns to fulfill socio-economic targets set by the Party and the Government. The Government chief also urged competent agencies to complete the draft decree on instructing the enforcement of the Law on Emulation and Commendation. He suggested that emulation campaigns should be linked with the country’s celebrations and events. |  | | The Central Council for Emulation and Commendation convenes the 29 th meeting in Hà Nội, August 10 – Photo: VGP | According the report of the CCEC, ministries, sectors and localities have launched many emulation campaigns since the beginning of the year to promote socio-economic development, guarantee social security, improve people’s living standard and boost anti-corruption. In the first half, the State President and the PM conferred five Gold Star Medals, 25 Hồ Chí Minh Medals, 1,087 Medals of Independence, 11 Heroes of Labor, 29 Heroes of People’s Armed Forces, and 176 National Eminent Workers for many individuals and organizations.
