PM Dũng welcomes JBIC President
VGP – In his reception greeting President Hiroshi Watanabe of Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) today, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng highly valued all supports and assistances that both JBIC and the Japanese Government have offered to Việt Nam to speed up its socio-economic development.
| | | PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and JBIC President Hiroshi Watanabe, Hà Nội, July 31 - Photo: VGP | JBIC's President Hiroshi Watanabe briefed PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on the bank’s initiatives in stimulating the world economy to get rid of the current global financial crisis and in granting priorities to developing economies like Việt Nam. According to the guest, JBIC has pledged to provide financial supports to local banks in Asia including ones in Việt Nam with the main purpose of re-lending the capital to enterprises to develop their business. Mr. Hiroshi Watanabe also said that Việt Nam is still an attractive destination for Japanese investors as the country has been able to restore its positive economic momentum while commercial banks here continue to have stable operations. PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng welcomed JBIC's initiatives that have clearly shown the bank’s responsibilities towards the world economy. He said that the Vietnamese Government is willing to cooperate with JBIC in sponsoring programs on developing national infrastructure, bailing, issuing national bonds and promoting trade sponsorship. The leader also emphasized that Việt Nam will continue to support JBIC and its operations in Việt Nam. The PM took this occasion to call upon the Japanese Government to further facilitate the other on-going projects between the two countries. By Hương Giang |
