PM kick-starts radio coverage in East Sea

VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng today started the broadcasting of the Voice of Việt Nam (VOV) in the East Sea, a program to promote the sea-borne economic development, serve fishermen and facilitate the protection of the country’s territorial waters.

As a country with a long coastal line and millions of residents living on fisheries, Việt Nam always attaches importance to the development of sea-borne economy, said PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng.

At its 4th Plenum, the 10 th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Việt Nam adopted a Resolution on “Việt Nam’s Sea Strategy to 2020,” stressing “a very essential task” of expanding radio coverage to the entire territorial waters of the country.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng also extended his congratulations to VOV on the occasion of its 64 th anniversary (September 7, 1945).
