PM receives Austria’s leaving Ambassador
VGP – In his reception to Austria’s leaving Ambassador Johannes Peterlik, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng hoped that the diplomat would continue to have contributions to the development of the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation.
| | | Photo: VGP | PM Dũng hailed the active and dynamic role of Ambassador Johannes Peterlik during his term in Việt Nam, especially in collaborating with Vietnamese competent agencies to secure the success of high-ranking visits made by the two countries’ leaders, in boosting cooperation in economics, culture, education, science and technology between the two countries. Particularly, the Austrian diplomat put forward the idea of issuing a stamp series on the occasion of the 40 th anniversary of President Hồ Chí Minh’s death. The two-way trade turnover reached US $250 million in 2008. The European country’s ODA projects on healthcare, transport and education have been carried out fruitfully. Stressing the need to enhance the bilateral cooperation in line with the two sides’ available potentials and strengths, PM Dũng reiterated that Việt Nam always attaches importance to cementing and deepening ties with Austria. The host leader hoped that the Ambassador will always be a good friend of Việt Nam. Ambassador Johannes Peterlik expressed her impression on Việt Nam’s socio-economic achievements in recent years, confirming his goodwill to foster the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation between Việt Nam and his country.
