In his speech at the reception, PM Dũng stressed that, 64 years ago, the people of Việt Nam launched the August 1945 Revolution to re-seize national independence, establish the Democratic Republic of Việt Nam (now Socialist Republic of Việt Nam), and open a new era for the Vietnamese nation – the epoch of independence, sovereignty, freedom and social progress.
The spirit and iron will of the Revolution have helped the Vietnamese people overcome many challenges and difficulties, achieving the great success in the struggle for national salvation and reunification as well as in the cause of renovation and national development over the past 20 years, the PM said.
