PM's second day in Brunei Darussalam

VNGOP – During the second day (August 16) in his official visit to the State of Brunei Darussalam, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng met the Brunei business community and visited some facilities of Brunei Shell Petroleum Group (BSP).

Meeting businesses of the two countries, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng emphasized that Việt Nam is the second largest Southeast Asian market with an abundance of young, industrious, dynamic and well-educated human resource (70% of its population below 40 years).

The Vietnamese Government will create favorable conditions for Brunei enterprises to invest in Việt Nam, the PM said.

Answering the attendants' questions, the PM analyzed both advantages and challenges faced by the Vietnamese economy. He also introduced the Vietnamese Government's policies on encouraging foreign investors in such fields as medical instruments, pharmacy, and real estate. The audience was really convinced by the Vietnamese PM's specific and clear answers.

On the same day, Deputy PM, Foreign Minister Phạm Gia Khiêm witnessed the signing ceremony of the agreements on cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Brunei Ministry of Youth and Sports; on double-tax avoidance; and on gas and oil cooperation between PetroVietnam and BSP.
