VN, Brunei want to deepen multifaceted ties

After the solemn welcoming ceremony in the August 15 afternoon at the Brunei International Airport, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng held talks with Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
The two leaders showed their pleasure at recent good progresses in the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries. They agreed to boost the exchange of high-ranking delegations; early organize the first session of the Việt Nam-Brunei Joint Committee; and promote trade and economic ties through trade promotion activities, commercial fairs, and seminars to introduce the two countries' economic potentialities. Việt Nam wishes and provides favorable conditions for Brunei businesses to invest in Việt Nam in the fields of infrastructure construction, industrial parks, hotels and tourism, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng confirmed. He also urged the bilateral cooperation in labor.
PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah expressed their gladness on the signing of the agreement on double-tax avoidance, the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on sports and youth cooperation, and the MoU on oil and gas cooperation which are the good legal foundation for the bilateral cooperative ties in the related fields.

Previously on the same day, addressing the Myanmar-Việt Nam Business Forum, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stated that his visit to the Union of Myanmar aimed to consolidate the bilateral cooperation, especially in economy, trade and investment. The PM briefed Việt Nam's major socio-economic situations and affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will speed up the formation of a perfect institution and administrative reforms to create an open and transparent environment for Vietnamese and Burmese businesses./.
