Population Database to be set up
VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung has assigned the Ministry of Planning and Investment(MPI) to host and cooperate with the Government Office, the Ministry of National Defense and other ministries, agencies and localities to implement the Population Database Project.
The Population Database, established by supplementing, completing and updating the National Population and Housing Census database, aims to serve the national socio-economic development.
The PM asked ministries and agencies to propose statistical criteria related to population within the scope of their management and submit to the MPI before September 30, 2014.
