Three foreign-financed projects ratified

VGP - The PM has approved three foreign-financed projects which are funded by the German Government, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the World Bank (WB).

The “Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency” project, financed by the German Government, will be launched from 2015-2017.

It aims to develop a systematic methodology for effective investment and use of renewable energies and relevant policies, provide technical and economic inputs for policy making process in Viet Nam.

The “Disabilities Integration of Services and Therapies Network for Capacity and Treatment in Thai Binh Province” project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), will be realized in seven districts of the Northern province of Thai Binh from now till 2019.

The US$1.8 million project is designed to improve the quality of life of handicapped children under six years old and their families with a comprehensive model of early childhood disability detection and intervention.

The “Vinh Phuc Flood Risk and Water Management” project is financed by the WB through a loan of US$220 million.

The five-year-project is expected to enhance flood management, mitigate the impacts of natural calamities on local people, and improve the effectiveness of agricultural production, contributing to the province’s poverty reduction efforts.
