VN, Russia to strengthen economic ties commensurate with strategic partnership
VNGOP – Before wrapping up his official visit to the Russian Federation, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng attended the Russia-Việt Nam Trade and Investment Promotion Forum held by the two countries’ Chambers of Commerce and Industry on September 12.
 | PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng delivers speech at the Forum - Photo: VNGOP | Addressing the Forum, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng emphasized the long-standing friendship between Việt Nam and the Russian Federation while asserting that bilateral ties in economic, trade and investment fields are not commensurate with the two countries’ potentialities and desire. The Vietnamese PM said that, during his Russia trip, he held thorough and useful talks with his Russian counterpart, in which the two leaders agreed to drastically lift all difficulties and obstacles, so as to facilitate and boost the friendship and cooperation. PM Dũng also briefed some major potentialities and opportunities to do business in Việt Nam. The Vietnamese Government will seriously realize its commitments to the international community as well as speed up the institutional perfection and administrative procedures reforms to create an open, transparent and favorable environment for foreign investors, including those from the Russian Federation, stated PM Dũng. The PM called on Russian businesses to invest in Việt Nam, stressing that Việt Nam always considers foreign investors an indispensable part of its economy.  | Photo: VNGOP | Later, the PM witnessed the signing of some contracts and cooperation agreements worth of over US$ 1 billion.
