VN always attaches importance to its traditional friends, says leaders

VNGOP – Party General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng, NA Chairman Nguyễn Phú Trọng gave separate receptions on May 16 to Hungarian President Sólyom László who is on an official visit to Việt Nam.

General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh asserted that, in its diplomatic policies, Việt Nam always places importance on the relations with traditional friends, including Hungary. He showed his desire that the two countries would further their bilateral cooperation commensurate to their respective potential and traditional friendship.
Receiving the Hungarian President, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stated that, the traditional friendship between Việt Nam and Hungary is the firm foundation to strengthen the bilateral ties.

The Government chief revealed that, Việt Nam is now designing a National Goal Program to cope with the global climate change and asked Hungary to share experience with Viet Nam in this field.
President Sólyom László highlighted some of Hungary’s cooperation fields of advantages, namely education, finance, health, medicine production and environment protection. He confirmed that the Hungarian Government always encourages Vietnamese students to study in Hungary.
Hungary is ready to share its experience with Việt Nam to mitigate impacts caused by the global climate change, the guest asserted.
He also expressed his desire that Việt Nam will facilitate Hungarian enterprises to do investment in the above fields as well as help Hungary strengthen its ties with Southeast Asian countries.

In their meeting, NA Chairman Nguyễn Phú Trọng and President Sólyom László highly valued the close cooperation between the two legislatures over the past time and expected that the two bodies will make greater contributions to the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
