PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng asserted that the visit made by Minister Yves Leterme is an important event which helps promote multifaceted cooperation between Việt Nam and Belgium.

Stressing that there remain great potentials and advantages for bilateral cooperation, the host leader asked Belgium to strengthen its economic, trade, and investment ties with Việt Nam while continuing education and health cooperation with such activities as providing more scholarship to Vietnamese students and high-quality vocational trainings courses to Vietnamese laborers.

In 2010, as the President of ASEAN, Việt Nam vows to closely work with Belgium, EU President, in preparing for the 8 th ASEM Summit as well as on international and regional forums.

FM Yves Leterme confirmed that Belgium will also pay attention to cultural cooperation for better understanding and mutual trust between the two sides.
