The Action Program will focus on making people fully aware of the issues of agriculture, peasantry and countryside in the era of industrialization; launching a nationwide emulative movement to modernize agriculture and rural areas; and setting up and realizing socio-economic programs and national development goals relating to agriculture and countryside.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng urged relevant ministries and sectors to formulate overall planning schemes, then guild localities to design their own detailed plans, particularly on land use, and outline national goal programs to 2020 on building new countryside, on climate change strategy, and on training man power in rural areas.

It is also necessary to review and supplement projects on developing a modern agriculture; improving rural areas-served industries and services; upgrading socio-economic infrastructure in rural areas; raising material and spiritual lives for rural residents; renewing production methods and boosting up scientific application agricultural production. The Government will adequately invest in scientific and technical applications in agricultural activities, confirmed PM Dũng.

Plus, the Government chief ordered his inferiors to propose feasible solutions to effectively reduce poverty.
