FAO-funded animal health project agreed
VGP - The Prime Minister has recently approved a FAO-funded project on improving community-based animal health.
The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is to provide the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development a non-refundable aid of US $453,600 to carry out the project.
The project will improve community-based animal health via supporting the implementation of the Food Safety Law and strengthening surveillance systems, minimizing food poisoning risks and the spread of infectious disease between humans and animals.
