The Ministry of Industry and Trade was entrusted by the PM to sign the above agreement at the 40 th ASEAN Economic Ministerial Conference held in late August in Singapore. The leader assigned the Ministry of Finance to function as the major implementer and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to propose proper options and timetable for the realization of the agreement.

On the same day, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm required all ministries and governmental agencies, basing on the MoFA’s scheme on orientations and measures for Việt Nam’s participation in ASEAN to 2015, to design their own action plans.

Moreover, the MoFA takes over major responsibility of collecting all action plans, setting up an overall scheme and drafting the Government’s resolution on realizing this scheme. All these documents must be submitted to the Government prior to December 30.
