Localities helped to adapt to climate change
VGP – The PM has recently given the nod to a technical assistance project tailored to assist local people in the northern provinces of Thái Nguyên and Quảng Ninh to well adapt to climate change.

The project will provide these localities with measures to better environment management and make local people’s lives soundly sustainable while taking into consideration a host of options in response to climate change in their future climate change adaptation strategies.
Specifically, the four-year project will define impacts of climate change and put forth ways to aid the local authorities in enhancing management capacity of natural resources.
The project will also help the benefiting localities to formulate their own action plans and climate change scenarios as part of their socio-economic development strategies, and encourage the engagement of the local community, especially women, children, and the poor in tackling climate change./.
