NZ Ambassador meets PM before leaving
VGP – Receiving the outgoing Ambassador James Kember of New Zealand today, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng hailed the diplomat’s contributions to the consolidated relationship between the two countries.

The two-way trade turnover was raised to over US $300 million in 2008 and the two countries have signed many cooperation agreements, including the Agreement on Economic and Trade Cooperation, Investment Encouragement and Protection Agreement, and the Aviation Agreement. The host leader showed his desire that New Zealand continues to grant ODA for Việt Nam to upgrade infrastructure as well as increase scholarships for Vietnamese students. Ambassador James Kember reiterated his good impressions on the country and people of Việt Nam as well as on the Government’s performance during the hard phases of the global financial crisis and economic recession. He vowed to make greater contributions to the Việt Nam-New Zealand friendship in the future. By Xuân Hồng |
