PM’s second day in Czech Republic
VNGOP – In the second day of his official visit to the Czech Republic, September 13, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng had separate meetings with Chamber of Deputies Speaker Miloslav Vlček and first Deputy Chairman of the Senate Petr Pithart. He also addressed the Czech-Việt Nam Trade and Investment Promotion Forum.

He expressed his confidence that the Czech upper and lower houses as well as Mr. Miloslav Vlček and Mr. Petr Pithart will strongly support the development of the bilateral relations between Việt Nam and the Czech Republic. PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stated that the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic is a valuable property and a driving force for the economies of the two countries. He rejoiced at the effective implementation of many Czech-invested projects in Việt Nam, including cement plant and beverage factories. “Việt Nam highly values Czech enterprises’ technologies in the fields of energy (thermo- and hydroelectricity), mechanical facilities, means of transport (diesel locomotives, trams, vessel engines), devices for beverage and crystal plants“, said the PM. And “Việt Nam is perfecting her legal system; formulating policy of incentives and a more liberal business environment for foreign investors. And the Vietnamese Government will provide favorable conditions for Czech economic groups and companies to do their business effectively in Việt Nam“, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng was quoted as saying. Right after the Forum, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng witnessed the signing of seven economic contracts worth of over US$ 3.5 billion, including a US$ 3 billion contract on building a 3,000 MW power plant in Việt Nam signed between the Czech Electricity Corporation and the Việt Nam Electricity (EVN). In the afternoon (local time), PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng is reported to hold talks with Czech President Vaclav Klaus; and he also met Vietnamese nationals at the Sa Pa Trade Center in Prague. By Xuân Hồng |
