New national target program on rural clean water passed
VGP – The National Target Program on rural water supply and sanitation in the 2012-2015 period, approved recently by the PM, targets to deliver clean water to 85% of rural residents by 2015.
New regulations on gold bar transaction
VGP - Since May 25, using gold bars as a tool of payment will be illegal, according to Decree 24/2012/NĐ-CP which was released by the Prime Minister on April 3.
Credit agreement for forestry development project extended
VGP – The Government has agreed to extend the time of implementation of the World Bank-funded Forest Sector Development Project from March 31, 2012 to March 31, 2013.

VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has requested 15 ministries and 23 localities to quickly finalize their human resource development plans for the 2011-2020 period.
PM approves project in response to avian influenza
VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng agreed to add the technical assistance project in response to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) Phase V into the list of projects sponsored by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Public transport development strategy approved
VGP - Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has passed a strategy to develop public transport from now until 2020 in a bid to reduce traffic congestion, accidents and environmental pollution nationwide.
