By 2015, the airport will be rated 4E level, based on the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)’s standard. It is expected to cater for two million of passengers per year or 800 at rush hour and 20,000 tons of cargoes a year.
By 2025, Cat Bi International Airport will transport eight million passengers and 250,000 tons of cargoes.
The commercial area of the airport will have the scale of 4,000 square metres by 2015 and 12,000 square metres by 2025.
