The official reception was carried out on September 14 at Belweder Palace to welcome PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng before the two high-ranking governmental delegations entered the talks.

Earlier, in the evening of September 13, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng held a meeting with Czech President Vaclav Klaus in which the PM said that his talks with the Czech counterpart aims to implement the results of the President’s official visit to Việt Nam in 2006 in order to deepen the bilateral ties in all fields. He stressed that the Việt Nam-Czech good relationship has played an active role in consolidating and developing the relations between Việt Nam and her leading partner - European Union, as well as between ASEAN and the Czech Republic.

The Vietnamese PM also revealed that many projects and ideas put forth during the Czech President’s visit to Việt Nam are facilitated and realized by the Vietnamese Government.

On the same day, PM Dũng had a cordial meeting with representatives of the 40,000 community of Vietnamese nationals residing and studying in Czech.
