VN mobilizes relief for disaster victims in China and Myanmar
VNGOP – Under a document issued by the Government Office on May 20, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng ordered the Việt Nam Red Cross, in line with its functions and tasks as well as international practices, to mobilize and call upon Vietnamese people to provide relief to the victims of the earthquake occurred in China’s Sichuan Province in mid-May as well as to those hit by Cyclone Nargis in early May in Myanmar.

VNGOP – The Government just issued Decree 12/2008/NĐ-CP on January 30 stipulating and instructing the realization of Article 176 of the Labor Code on the postponement or pause of a strike and dealing with employees’ interests.

Hải Phòng and Đà Nẵng Ports to be converted into one-member Ltd. companies
VNGOP – Standing Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng assigned on September 5 the Minister of Transport to decide the conversion of Hải Phòng and Đà Nẵng Ports, currently administered by the Việt Nam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines), into single-member liability-limited companies in which Vinalines holds 100% of the capital.
